Welcome to the Toxicology Major Web site

Our society has become more dependent on synthetic chemicals and both the chemical and pharmaceutical industries have grown steadily. This expansion has resulted in great public concern about the human and environmental health risk posed by release of potentially harmful agents into our water and food supply. The discipline of examining the risk of chemical exposure to organisms is Toxicology.  In order to fulfill the public’s desire to understand the risk posed by $1.5 Million in Scholarships Availablevoluntary or inadvertent exposure to toxic agents, there must be individuals trained who can assimilate the vast array of sometimes conflicting information. Our Toxicology Program provides state-of-the art training in the study of the causes and prevention of adverse consequences to human and animal health that may result from environmental, occupational and clinical exposures to chemical agents.
